Local Moving in Roseville & Placer County

Most of our work happens inside a tight circle: a Highland Reserve two-story to a place off Foothills Blvd, a Sun City single-story over to Rocklin, the usual short hops around Placer County. Our own two-mover crew and truck run $159 an hour, and that already covers the blankets, the dollies, and the tools, no rental fees stacked on after. Need a bigger crew for a packed house? A three-mover team is $219 an hour. If you’d rather know the number before we start, we’ll write a flat band instead: a studio lands between $419 and $610, a two-bedroom between $1,090 and $1,680, and a four-bed house between $2,650 and $3,900.

What the morning looks like, hour by hour

We pull up at the start of your window, usually 8am, because valley heat climbs fast in summer and loading early beats the 100-degree afternoons. First half hour: the crew walks the home with you, lays floor runners, and pads the door frames. Hours one through three, depending on size, they blanket-wrap the furniture and carry it out in a planned order, heavy and square pieces first so the truck packs tight. Around the halfway mark we break the load, drive, and start the reverse at the new address. We set the big furniture where you want it before the boxes come in, so you’re not shuffling a dresser across the room at the end. A $150 deposit holds your date and comes straight off the total. Our crews and trucks are ours, W-2 and uniformed, never a subcontractor, which you can read more about over at Foreign Movers of Roseville.

What Roseville Neighbors Tell Us

★★★★★

“Big house in Diamond Creek with a lot of heavy oak furniture. The crew brought extra dollies and never once asked to leave anything behind. They worked the early shift so we missed the worst of the August heat, and the foreman walked the house with me at the end to make sure nothing was forgotten. The estimate was flat and honest from the first phone call. Nick is bilingual and chatted with my parents in Russian, which put them at ease. This is the second time we've used Foreign Movers and it won't be the last.”

“Good move but I'll be honest about one thing. The crew got hung up about 40 minutes behind on an I-80 accident coming over from Rancho Cordova, though the office texted me the moment they knew. After that the two movers were fast and the apartment was empty by mid-afternoon. The flat price held even with the delay, so no harm done. I'd book them again.”

“Tiny studio but I have a heavy sleeper sofa that two previous movers gave up on. These guys stood it on end, angled it through the door, and had it loaded in ten minutes. Pros.”

Service FAQ

How much is a local move in Roseville?
Hourly runs $159 for two movers and a truck, or $219 for three. We also write flat bands by home size, from $419 for a studio up to $3,900 for a four-bed house.
Is the truck and equipment included in the hourly rate?
Yes. The $159 covers the crew, the truck, blankets, dollies, and tools. We don't tack on a separate equipment or fuel fee for local jobs.
Do you have a minimum number of hours?
Most local moves bill a small minimum to cover the crew and travel. We'll tell you the exact minimum when we quote, no surprises on the invoice.
Can you move on short notice?
Often, yes. We run seven trucks, so weekday slots open up regularly. A $150 deposit locks whatever date we confirm, and it applies to your total.
